“Els nostres ídols: Arias” tribute exhibition opens in Catarroja
The player with the most seasons in the Valencia CF first team, with a total of 16 (1976-1992), and the second most official matches for the club (521), Ricardo Arias is one of the greatest players to have ever graced Mestalla.
A key part of the sides that won the 1979 Copa, the 1979/80 European Cup Winners' Cup and the 1980/81 European Super Cup.
Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation, through the VCF Heritage and Museum Department, have organised an exhibition paying homage to him in his home town of Catarroja. The inauguration of "Els nostres ídols: Arias" was attended by family and friends, including several former teammates.
Miguel Tendillo and Miguel Ángel Bossio, his fellow Valencia CF ambassadors, Pepe Claramunt, Darío Felman, Emilio Fenoll and Enrique Saura all took in the exhibition, alongside VCF Foundation patron Salvador Martínez, president of the VCF Supporters Clubs Association, Fede Sagreras, and president of the VCF Small Shareholders' Association, Vicente Vallés.

This exhibition joins those already dedicated to other club legends: Puchades, Claramunt, Roberto Gil, Mañó and Saura.
With the collaboration of the Catarroja City Council and the VCF Footballers Association, it takes a tour of Arias' personal and professional life, with historical souvenirs of his career.

The exhibition can be visited until Saturday, October 8th in the Exhibition Hall of the Palau de Vivanco (Camí Reial, 22; Catarroja): Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 2pm and from 5pm to 8:30pm.
